As most of you know, we have settled in to our new place in Beaufort! The rental house we found is a nice upgrade from all those years of "apartment" dwelling. Luke and I are thrilled at all the space we now have, except for a couple of things we could always use more of, like closet space in the master bedroom! The house is definitely giving us ideas for what we want in a permanent home, which seems all the more within reach now that we are living in a location more suited to our lifestyle and budget.
Luke's new job is going well so far, although I'm not all together thrilled that he'll be leaving for travel soon. A lot of things are different in his new work, but he's making the adjustments! The greatest part is probably that his commute is only 10 minutes now versus 25+ in DC.
We were lucky enough to have my parents for a visit, and Mom was an incredible help in getting the house organized and unpacked!! They also gave us the excuse to go exploring in our new town. We made our way to the beach and then to downtown to do a bit of looking around. It was a great chance to enjoy our new locale.
Thanks to all our parents who made the move easier on us. We appreciate y'all for all you do & for loving us enough to do so much of the heavy lifting. Our hope is to welcome you all back soon for a visit! And for friends who we miss dearly, please know our door is always open to you!
